We the family of the late Michael R.I.P. wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and kindness shown to us during his illness, long stay in hospital and more recently on his death.

Our sincere thanks to Fr Cargan for his pastoral care, celebrating the Funeral Mass and especially the meaningful homily and treasured references to Downhill.  Thanks also to the the many local priests for their spiritual support and comfort.

Our heartfelt thanks to Eugene, John, Declan and Rory for their help and support; to Carolyn and Michael Mawhinney for the beautiful music, to Aileen and the grandchildren for participating in the funeral liturgy and James for his Eucharistic Ministry.  Thanks to all those who provided traffic control and a special thanks to Wishy Drain for preparing Michael’s grave.

Thanks to the Staff and pupils of St Columba’s PS Kilrea and to all those who came to pay their respects; the guard of honour that accompanied Michael on his journey to the church through the streets of his beloved Kilrea is something we will never forget.

We extend our thanks to our family circle, friends, the Seven Towers Male Voice Choir and the wider community for all the mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, text messages, flowers, food, phone calls, tributes on social media and to all those who made charitable donations.

Thanks to the staff of the Royal and City Hospitals and especially to Ward 29 and the staff of E.N.T.; to Dr Grainne, Dr. McCormack and Dr. McAuley, the District Nurses and the staff of Kilrea Health Centre, to The Marie Curie and Hospice Teams who were so kind, caring and enjoyed Michael’s sense of humour; also to Martin and his staff at Shield’s Pharmacy and  to Anne at Roe Pharmacy Dungiven. All of you ensured that Michael was treated with care, dignity and respect throughout his illness.

The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered in appreciation of your kindness to us at this difficult time.

The family of the late Brian RIP wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.

Special thanks to the Doctors and all the staff of Kilrea Health Centre for their help and support. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the dedicated carers who helped look after Brian in recent years.

The family wish to especially thank the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who helped them during this difficult time. Thanks to those who messaged, sent cards, letters, donations and all those who came out to pay their respects to Brian on his journey to the Church.

The family wish to express their deep gratitude to Gregory, Michael Og, and Eugene of McKiernan’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, dedication, thoughtfulness and the dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

The family circle of the late Bernadette Clarke (nee McAllister) R.I.P., 83 Clady Road, Portglenone, wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.

A special thank you to Fr. Dermott Harkin for his spiritual support, guidance and for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass.

Sincere thanks to Ruth McGinley and Jolene O’Hara for joining the family members in playing music that was so close to Bernadette’s heart.

Thanks also to the sacristan and those who prepared the grave.

The family wish to convey their thanks to Portglenone Health Centre, Bernadette’s carers and Ward C5 in Antrim Area Hospital.

The family especially thank the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who helped them during this difficult time.  The floral tributes, Mass cards, sympathy cards, phone calls, personal messages about how Bernadette touched the lives of so many, have been such a comfort.

A special thank you to those who provided the guard of honour that accompanied Bernadette on her journey to the church and those who joined the family by participating in the service online.

We, the McDonnell family would like to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us during this sad and very difficult time. We offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who telephoned, sent cards, letters, emails, floral tributes and messages of sympathy through social media. We would especially like to extend our thanks to all our wonderful friends (both here and abroad) and neighbours for their kindness over the past few weeks. We truly appreciate your support and are forever grateful.

Also, sincere thanks to all those who came out to pay their respects along the route from our home to the church and to everyone who watched the service online.

To those who made charitable donations to The Downs Syndrome Association, we are truly grateful.

We are indebted to the doctors and staff of Portglenone Health Centre for their excellent care of Mum over the years and heartfelt gratitude to her wonderful carers.

We also offer thanks to Fr Eamon Graham and Fr Dermott Harkin, Parish Priest of Greenlough, for their support at this time and for conducting the very fitting funeral Mass.

Many thanks to Michael Mawhinney for the beautiful music and singing.

Thank you to Michael, Michael Og, Gregory and Eugene of Mc Kiernan Funeral Directors, Kilrea for the extremely dignified and compassionate service throughout. Their professionalism and attention to detail and caring for us all during this very difficult time was very much noted and appreciated.

Thanks to those who messaged, sent cards, sent donations, paid their respects along the roadside as the cortege passed, joined us on the webcam and all those who accompanied Michael on his journey to the church.

Thanks to all who provided medical care for Michael, especially the doctors and nurses in the ICU in Causeway Hospital.

Noleen, Dessie, Stephen, Julie, Eóin, Brendan, Lucy, Lisa & Luke wish to express our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us on the passing of our dear Mother, Mother-in-law and Grandmother.  Unfortunately, due to current regulations, those who would have liked to attend the funeral service were unable to do so, but we extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their cards, telephone calls and messages.

A special word of thanks to the amazing health care workers in the MAU and Rehab ward of the Causeway Hospital and the Model Nursing Home for the attention and compassion they showed to Betty throughout the last year. In particular, we thank our dear friend Annemarie for her endless support and advice. 

To those who respectfully remained outside the church for the duration of the mass and subsequent burial, thank you for your support. Your presence was of great comfort to us.  A special thanks to Fr McCaughan who attended Betty in hospital, Fr. McGirr for his pastoral care at home and celebration of the Requiem Mass and Fr. McGrory for his graveside prayers. To Siobhan from Music for Moments for the beautiful music which gracefully enhanced the ceremony and to Ella the church sacristan and those who prepared the grave.  Our appreciation also to Michael Og and Gregory from McKiernan and Sons Funeral Directors who carried out the funeral arrangements in a caring, dignified and professional manner.

Finally, as it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as an expression of our sincere gratitude.  The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Bernie with her sons & daughters and the entire family circle of the late James R.I.P. wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.

A special thanks to Fr. Brennan P.P. for his pastoral care, spiritual support, guidance and celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass. Also Fr. Blayney and Fr.McNally for co-celebrating the Mass. Thanks to the church sacristans and to Dora and Aimee for the beautiful music which enhanced the service.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Marie Curie, Hospice at home, Doctors and District nurses who helped look after James with such care & dignity.

A Special thanks to Dun Lathaí Cuchullains for their help to make the journey to the Church a memorable tribute to James their Club Chairman. The final trip around the grounds was very fitting for James who put so much into his beloved club. To the volunteers, the guard of honour and Eamon Downey for his piping.
